This is a call to all freedom loving Americans; regardless of party affiliation! We don’t care if you are Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Independent or whatever! If you value your freedom, your family, your future and our American way of life; we believe that now is the time to stand up and make your voice heard while we still have the freedom to do so!
We are asking everyone who cares about our country and our American culture to stand and be counted! We are asking that every one of us display an American Flag in “Distress Display”. Do it on Twitter, on Face Book, on your home, your car or, wherever you like! All of the above would be a very good option!
Our initial goal is to get one million people to “Distress Display” a U.S. Flag in their twitter avi or header! We believe coming together under the most sacred symbol our country has, is a good way to let people know that our country is under attack and needs us to speak out!
What is “Distress Display”? Distress Display is displaying your U.S, Flag (Old Glory) “upside down”. It is not disrespectful to our Flag, as some may think. It complies with the rules of proper “Flag Etiquette” see them here: http://www.usflag.org/flagetiquette.html
It is a sign that our country is distressed and is under attack! Why do we do it? We do it to alert the American people that our country is, in fact, under attack! The really sad part is that we aren’t referring to an attack from foreign countries! We are talking about an attack from within our own borders! An attack by our own government!
Believe it or not, like it or not; the Obama administration, its liberal allies in our U.S. Congress, its elite billionaire cronies and millions of their “nanny state” liberal supporters in this country are using every trick in the book to destroy our country! They are destroying our Constitution, our economy, our freedom and our very own American culture! Over the past six years in particular they have shown a total disregard for Our Constitution and the rule of law!
The most recent and most blatant and glaring example is Obama’s opening of our southern border to anyone who wants to come in! Not only is he allowing them to come; he is assisting them and using the American taxpayer’s dollars to do it! He has asked Congress for 3.7 Billion American $$$$ in his most recent attempt to put the final touches on his planned bankrupting of America! If we don’t come together in an all-out effort and an outcry loud enough to stop them; I’m sure that the liberals and RINO’s in Congress will find a way to give Obama the funding he wants!
Let us be clear! We do not support, nor are we calling for an armed revolution! We do believe however, the only way to stop this shameful, disgraceful and disgusting attack short of an armed revolution; is for the real red blooded American people to stand up and unite with a single voice and demand that our elected officials honor their oaths of office and do their Constitutional duty!
We believe we have arrived at one of the most crucial times in our country’s history! What we need in our country is a return to the Reagan years! Some referred to them as “Reagan Democrats” and other names. We need to wake up that group that he referred to as “the silent majority”. A group that included all freedom loving Americans! Believe it or not we have many in both parties as well as Independents!
Many in that group either aren’t fully aware of the danger our freedom is in, or have been hesitant to speak out and let their voices be heard! We have to wake them up and get them on board! We have the numbers and the power to stop the outrage that is being committed against our country if everyone raises their voice in unity!
My brother Tom and I published our website www.oldgloryundersiege.com earlier this year in an effort to alert the American people to the peril that our country faces by using “Distress Display” in our twitter avi. At first we thought we were alone in that effort, but over the last few months we have discovered that not to be the case. We have found that many people are already using “Distress Display” in their twitter avi or twitter header!

We urge you to visit it and heed its message! In the spirit of unity, which is really what we are trying to promote with this blog article; we have joined forces and formed a partnership with our brother veterans Joe & Gene and their followers at their website above to further our mutual goal of getting one million “Distress Display Flags” on twitter!
We ask and hope that you will please consider our request and join us and spread the word to your followers as well! It is a simple way and we believe an effective method to spread the word that America is under attack and we must respond with a unified voice!
Our 1st Amendment and 2nd Amendments in particular; along with the other “Bill of Rights” have recently been under attack by the very government officials who took an oath to protect and defend them! We cannot allow this attack to go unchallenged! We believe that time is of the essence! We need to speak up now and stop this criminal attack on our country while we still have the freedom to do so!
